Thank you for the comment Mark. You bring up interesting points that I must say I never thought of in that light. I just truly feel that we must work much harder than we do to spread his wonderful message of salvation, and I believe satan uses many tricks, distraction key among them to turn us from the work of the Lord. Just a thought. Nobody knows the time or date of the Lords return… but do we know the event that will trigger the bridegroom coming for His bride? What if the 1/3 of the angels that rebelled with Lucifer (sons of god) were to be filled with believers (sons of god). And… what if that represented a specific number only God knows. And… what if you could be the one who would lead the person that would complete that number (missing sons of god), and trigger the Lord’s return.

Gives some thought to faithfulness to God’s plan of redemption… don’t you think?

Hi Uncle Jim,
I don’t know if you ever saw this service at church, but it was the first thing that came to mind when I read your blog. It is hard to be public in work about your faith, but if you knew a secret that someone would benefit from wouldn’t you share? Christ is the best thing to share.

I agree as well, Jim. With all the wealth that we have in America we could easily end world hunger, homelessness, & preventable disease worldwide 20 times over. Of all the things that Jesus taught, one of his main teachings was taking care of “the least of these.” He told us in Matthew 25, “What you did not do for the least of these, you also did not do for me.” It terrifies me to think of the sheer amount of things that we have not done for the least of these.

I wholeheartedly agree. Part of the problem is that we have pastors and evangelists falling into the snare of the Emergent Church, Prosperity Gospel (a part of which is the name it and claim it movement), and similar nonsense. These preachers walk in with $1000+ suits, Rolex watches, and limousines and tell people that God wants to make them healthy and rich, and if they just give now He will do that.
